Figuring It Out Together

Posted by: Carolyn | Categories:  Client Spotlight

The reality of our situation isn't great.

Lots of communities, families, and individuals are hurting because of this extremely contagious virus.

For the greater good, we're social distancing and sheltering in place to slow the spread of COVID-19. The most important thing is to give our at risk population and medical teams a fighting chance.

As our team was thinking about how our world is changing, we thought about our clients. Many of them are small businesses wondering what the other side of this storm is going to look like.

The way we do business is going to look radically different. Some of our clients are already set up for the change. So if you or your business are looking for help transitioning to the new normal, here are a few businesses that can help.

Working Remote

While most businesses had some type of remote access, they may not have been ready for the entire environment to be accessed remotely. If your organization has been forced into working remotely overnight, here a couple businesses who can help you pivot quickly and safely.

HubWise

HubWise is a managed service provider. They manage IT services for businesses in the Omaha and Lincoln area.

Right now they've been helping a lot of clients ensure their networks are prepared and ready for a primary work from home environment. Each business is different and requires different solutions to be the most functional and secure.

They have remote monitoring and management tools to validate that the network remains up and secure even when no one is around.
Education and security is going to be key. HubWise is seeing a lot of phishing and malware type email trying to take advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic. They're working to make sure people know how to access the most up-to-date and correct resources.

Bit Perfection

Located in Kentucky, Bit Perfection also helps businesses transition to a work from home environment. Hardware may be difficult to come by right now. If you have your own hardware and software, Bit Perfection is offering remote consultation to configure your system. They're in the process of rebranding with us and they'll have a new website up soon.

Contact Caden for more information.

LyncStream

I like to describe LyncStream as a technology efficiency company. They can make your software and hardware processes more user-friendly, so your job is easier.

While LyncStream is based in Omaha, most of their team has been working remotely for years. They're open to helping guide anyone in how to navigate the remote/cloud computing options. Their team can provide guidance as to how best move forward.

If your software systems are less efficient in a remote environment, their team can consult and guide you through improving that process as well.

Eric or Edward would be glad to help.

Downtime Isn't An Option

PTI Solutions

If you're in charge of a critical facility or a data center, you need to be working with PTI. They help keep the systems that are running our remote world today, always up and ready.

If you are a small business owner and you're looking for battery back ups and monitoring for a remote server or for your employees, PTI can help you with those too.

Tim Wilson or Tim Smith can answer any questions you might have.

Caring for Our Older Population

Legato Living

Legato Living cares for our older population with dementia in the comforts of a single family home.

With recent recommendations based on the COVID-19 virus, now more than ever the smaller setting for those with dementia has proven to be the best option.

Residents are not alone during this time and remain in a true home vs an environment where they may feel lost and afraid, being secluded in their rooms.

If you have questions, contact Erin.

Enjoying the Outdoors

Fireplace Stone and Patio

One bright spot in all of this chaos is that you can still be outside. It's also a good time to plan ahead for the summer months.

Fireplace Stone and Patio is a local retailer that can turn your outdoor space into a place you want to be. You can customize your patio furniture or design an outdoor kitchen. They are also one of the only places in town to sell louvered pergolas to keep you cool during the Midwest summer heat.

They have showrooms in Omaha, Lincoln, Kearney, Grand Island, and Waukee, Iowa.

A new website we designed and built will be up soon, but most of their products are still on the existing site for you to browse through. Because of the virus, they're cleaning the showroom more frequently, but they're still open for business with proper social distancing.

UPDATE: Their famous barbeque classes will be offered online! Visit their Facebook page for more details.

Call your local showroom to find how you can start planning your dream outdoor space.

Saying Thank You

A couple of our clients are on the front lines of diagnosing and treating people in our community who contract COVID-19.

We want to take a digital moment to say thank you to the medical staff at Infectious Disease Associates and Methodist Health System.

Figuring it Out Together

We're just a small business who helps other businesses communicate with the right audience.

We don't have all the answers. But I do believe in the creativity and ingenuity of small business. I believe businesses helping other businesses will be one of the best ways we're going to make it through to the other side.

It's ok to be scared and anxious, but please don't live in that space. We need your creativity and problem solving abilities.

We'll get through this together.

Here's one more friendly reminder: Everyone wash your hands, practice social distancing, tell the medical community "thank you", support local small businesses, and remember to call your grandparents and older neighbors.

We can help!

We work with businesses that are not afraid to take the next step.

  • Starting from scratch?
  • Needing a refresh?
  • Struggling to grow?
