I had never stepped foot inside my new apartment until my arms were loaded with my computer parts and my dad was right behind me hauling my awkward chair up the harrowing staircase which led to the top floor.
It was scary and uncomfortable. I was moving from a town of 1,500 people to OMAHA! The big city! Deep down I knew I had to move in order to grow as a developer and starting as a junior developer at Corporate 3 Design gave me that chance.
I have moved three times since then, but no matter where I lived I have always been at Corporate 3 Design. Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, for three and a half years. That is a lot of time to spend together with our small crew, and I have to admit — I have loved all of it. Even during the difficult projects, despite my profanity, I still enjoyed it. Corporate 3 Design has been my home, and the people I worked beside — my family.
It was a tough choice, but today I am officially announcing that I am stepping down from my position at Corporate 3 Design next month, and I will be joining the team at Grain & Mortar. Both Corporate 3 Design and Grain & Mortar have been abundantly accommodating during my transition between companies, something I am extremely grateful for.
I am going to miss working with the people I have called family for the past three years. It has been an amazing journey. So here is to saying goodbye and thank you to my team at C3D and hello to the unfamiliar and new.
